Gary makes a surprise visit at the System
Gary's friend John Carlton spoke at the System Seminar when we held it in San Francisco.
Gary asked if he could attend and I said "Sure!"
Apparently he liked what he saw because asked if he could make some comments during the evening session. Twist my arm, right?
This was one of the best talks Gary ever gave and one of the very few ones he ever gave to an Internet marketing audience.
Gary is best known as a master of direct mail and space ads, but he was also adept at using the Internet in simple, but powerful ways.
In this short clip, he introduces a very important idea that traces back to Robert Collier...it's not the words alone that make the sale, it's the ideas behind the word.
